Development question.
« on: August 24, 2009, 12:34:09 AM »
Hi, currently I've found an interest to make a dynamic and modular assembler and noticed how popular NASM was.  I'm current studying the Intel instruction set reference and so far, it's been quite and ordeal for me.  So I was wonder, or even asking, what references were used to develop NASM?

Hi Chaz,

Sorry for the delay. I don't really know what the Original Authors used for documentation. The Intel manuals, presumably, and AMD and Cyrix... maybe more. Plus the specifications for the various output formats. You might find http://www.sandpile.org/ useful, too. Sorry I can't be of much help (I didn't write it).

Best,
Frank
