Oh, my f'n word!!!
That doesn't look familiar at all! The build process for the docs has changed quite a bit since I understood how it all worked (if ever), but this is *totally* unlike anything I've ever seen. What I "expect" to see in the html/ directory is files named nasmdoc0.html thru nasmdo12.html, and a, b, c, and i varients. This looks almost like something intended to compile into .chm using htmlhelp.ext - or a decompilation by same... Last I knew, we made .rtf and .hpj files for Windows, no .chm/htmlhelp at all...
Do you remember exactly what you did to get this result, Allen? Just "make all"? The Mkfiles/ directory has a "msvc.mak", but the doc/ directory only has the one Unix makefile. Lord knows what it'll do in Windows. At one time, it "kinda worked", but left a mess. I wrote "makedocs.bat" to try to get around that - it worked at the time, but has become badly outdated and should not be used. Probably should be removed. But I doubt that'd do what you're seeing. I really don't know where those files are coming from...
We'll look into it, but don't expect immediate results. In a pinch, you can download the "-xdoc" file - it has .html, .info, .ps, .pdf, and .txt... No .rtf or .hpj files - wonder what happened to them???
In any case, thanks for the feedback, Allen!
Best,
Frank
