Title: Linux 64 bit - XWindow Helloworld Example.
Post by: Mathi on January 26, 2010, 05:34:03 PM
PFB the link for XWindow Helloworld for 64 bit linux.

Hope posting a link doesn't violate forum rules.

http://mathimaaran.angelfire.com/xhello.tar.gz (http://mathimaaran.angelfire.com/xhello.tar.gz)

My initial idea was to create some user controls in the window.
But I didn't realize that creating User controls will be very difficult in Xlib.

I am planning to learn Qt.

Thanks,
Mathi.

All I get is an AngelFire 404 - File Not Found - error message. I don't see a problem with you posting a link to the file, however it would probably be easier to just add an attachment.

To do this, click "Additional Options..." (highlighted in red) beneath the text box you wrote your message in, then click the "Browse..." button (highlighted in green) and select your file from the disk, when you've selected a file and clicked "Okay" or "Open" (depending on your browser) you will see the absolute path appear in the input box next to the "Browse..." button. Click the "Post" button (highlighted in blue) below or press ALT+S to post your message and upload the new attachment.

I don't see an Attach File option .
May be, normal users don't have that option.

Anyways , From http://www.mathiisalive.tk/ (http://www.mathiisalive.tk/) , in the Downloads section you can get the zip file. ( Titled: Linux Assembly(64 bit) stuff.)

Yes. New Members are not allowed to attach files, that is a failsafe in case other anti-spam traps fail.

I can, however, lower the probation period to something more accommodating until such a time when spam becomes an issue.

Mathi, you will now find yourself as a "Jr. Member" and able to utilize more of the forum functionality.
