Post by: Mathi on January 15, 2012, 06:47:55 PM
Hi,

I am getting the following error when a try to upload a zip file with an example.
"The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

Could you plz check this.

Mmmm, you're right! Not only did it not let me attach a file, it wouldn't let me post the reply the file was supposed to be attached to! Looking at Keith's reply on the next post, I guess the non-ability to post an "avatar" is intentional. Maybe true for attachments, too(?). As you probably know, we had an attempted "break in" a while ago, and are probably being "extra secure" just now. If we're not able to allow attachments, maybe we should change it to just "Other options"?

I suppose what you've got is too long to paste in between "code" tags... Can you post a link to it? In a pinch, mail it to me - fbkotler@myfairpoint.net - and I'll put it on my page and link to it. Always delighted to see examples from you, Mathi!

Best,
Frank

Attachments should be fixed.

However, any amount of code that is trivial/small should be posted within the code tags.
